ABOUT US

Tōnui Collab Charitable Trust (CC58901)  is generously supported by Trust Tairāwhiti and Spark Foundation to provide specialist bilingual STEM education opportunities for learners of Tairāwhiti.  Young people are empowered through innovative STEM* workshops - Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths - workshop topics include animation, engineering, 3D design, robotics, coding, augmented reality and more!

Our core philosophy celebrates learning through exploration, learning through fast fails, and empowering tamariki to lead their own educational journeys. We encourage inquiry, investigation and experimentation through hands-on creative exploration. We strive to build confidence through new ways of learning and collaborating.

TŌNUI Collab collaborates with teachers to support the impactful adoption of digital technologies. Through professional learning and development partnerships, teachers are supported in developing the confidence to introduce emerging technologies into contemporary learning environments.

The Tōnui Collab team has experience and expertise across the education and tech sectors and are passionate and committed to creating engaging learning experiences for our rangatahi. We also strive to empower educators across our community - in the classroom, out on the waka, on the marae, in the taiao - to collaborate and to enhance opportunities for our rangatahi.
