AFTER SCHOOL WORKSHOPS
TŌNUI Collab offers tamariki the opportunity to explore and learn, create and problem-solve as they experiment with a range of different programming languages and code games and other digital experiences.
Our FREE weekly after school Code Club runs every Tuesday, 3:30pm - 5pm from week 2 - week 9 of every term.
Tamariki aged 7 - 13 years must be registered to attend our Code Club. Registrations are per term.
Tamariki are supported by members of the Tōnui Collab team alongside Tōnui Collab vetted and trained volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering with our Code Club, please reach out to us at admin@tonuicollab.com
Tōnui Collab is committed to creating equitable opportunities for rangatahi in Te Tairāwhiti to thrive in tech. There is a digital divide that needs to be addressed and our after-school Code Club is FREE so that the barriers to learning are reduced.
We also partner with Digital Future Aotearoa on a Recycle a Device (RAD) Club in Turanganui-a-Kiwa to provide laptops for tamariki who need them.
Tōnui Collab's After School Code Club is based at Tōnui Collab (situated on the Mātai Research campus) 466 Childers Road.
